LARA GOLF CLUB COMPETITION CONDITIONS
ALL COMPETITIONS:
Competitors must pay competition fees and enter their names on the competition sheet and register by entering their Membership/Golflink number into the computer.Members are reminded to acquaint themselves with rules governing the correct keeping of scores, ie: (a) Rule 6 - Stroke, (b) Rule 32 - Par or Stableford.Any golfer with a current Golf Australia handicap may mark a player's scorecard, the exception being a junior's scorecard must be signed by an adult member.
Visiting member of “Future Golf”, Flexi Golf”, “Social Golf”, similar handicapping systems and “general social golf clubs” who have a GA handicap:Future golf, Flexi golf, social golf, other similar handicapping systems members and general social golf club members with a GA handicap are welcome to play in golf competitions at Lara golf club, however they are NOT eligible to win a grade prize until they have at least 10 competition rounds (18 holes) and also have 3 initial handicap rounds linked to their GA handicap. All future golf players and social golf club members with a GA handicap will have their completed round entered into “One Golf, provided they have completed the round within the rules of golf.All future golf players and social golf club members, entered into a competition at Lara golf club are eligible to win a nearest the pin prize.
GRADES:Unless specified, all events will be played in Grades. See Field & Prize Charts – Men, Women & Tuesday White Tee CompetitionPrizes will be based on grades with an even spread of handicaps on the day. Eg. For a field of 100+ players as close to 25% as possible for each grade; 3 grades handicaps will be 33% per grade and for 2 grades it will be approximately 50%. Grades may be reset by the Match & Play Committee depending on field size.
TEES: All events are to be played from the Specified Markers of the day unless otherwise instructed by the Match & Play Committee.TIES: In the event of a Tie, the placings shall be decided by a countback as per the method recommended by Golf Australia.VISITORS: The maximum number of Lara Golf Club competitions, that a visitor (as a non-financial member of the Lara GC) can play at the Lara GC is restricted to 5 competition games Lara Golf Club membership financial year, that is, 1st October-31st September.

MEN'S TROPHIES
MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Four Rounds Stroke Play, commencing on the first Saturday of March. Individual Net Trophies each Day. The players with the leading scores overall will play together in 2 set time blocks for the Final Round. Qualifying players must play in the designated time slot to be eligible to win the event.A Reserve Day is fixtured should any round be postponed for inclement weather. The Match Committee may shorten the Championship if inclement weather postpones more than one day.
Conditions of play:
Eligibility restricted to financial members of the Lara GC who have completed at least 10 individual competition rounds of the Lara GC in the preceding 12 months.
Irrespective of the nominated grades, the Club Champion will be the golfer with the best aggregate gross score over 72 holes of the Club Championship.
In the event of a Gross tie after 72 holes, the players must play an 18 hole playoff on the Reserve Day or the following Saturday if the Reserve Day has already been used.
Grades will be decided after the completion of the first round.
JACK DUDDY TROPHY
Open to all financial members of the Lara Golf Club.To be eligible, you must play in all four rounds and have completed at least 10 individual competition rounds of the Lara GC in the preceding 12 months.
The winner will be determined by the best net score using 3 of the 4 rounds of the Club Championship.
If this results in a tie, then the score of the 4th round will be used. If the result is still tied, then the GA countback system will determine the winner.
MEDALLIST of MEDALLISTS
Open to the 12 winners of the Monthly Medals.
Players can qualify more than once.
Eligibility to win a Monthly Medal is restricted to financial members of the Lara Golf Club and are eligible to win a board event.
All Medallists will play off in the Final, in groups at a designated time.
Qualifying players must play in the designated time slot to be eligible to win the event.
The winner will be determined by the best net score in the Final.
In the event of a tie in the final, the players must play an 18 hole playoff on the following Saturday.
PRESIDENT'S TROPHY (4BBB event played over 8 rounds)
Eligibility to win a President’s Badge is restricted to where both players are financial members of the Lara Golf Club and are eligible to win a board event.
The president’s trophy is open to men, women and mixed teams.
The first time a player qualifies for the play off, will be the only time they can qualify.
The winning pair will be determined by the best score using GA countback system in the event of a tie.
All qualifiers will play off in the Final, in groups at a designated time.
Qualifying players must play in the designated time slot to be eligible to win the event.
Qualifying players must respond to the M & P notification regarding availability. If they do not respond, it will be assumed they are not playing and will become ineligible.
If scores are tied in the Final, the winner will be determined using GA countback system.
4BBB EVENTS: When playing a 4BBB in a group of three, the lowest marker must be the swing player and score cards must be marked by the swing player. (Exception – President’s Cup)
CAPTAINS CUP: Match play
Open to all financial members of the Lara Golf Club and are eligible to win a board event.
Singles match play event played over 4 to 5 months, as a knock-out event.
Men and women are eligible to enter the qualifying/seeding round.
Payers will play from the blue markers in each round, unless both agree to play of the black markers. (red for women) or the competition of the day has a different tee.
Players will use their GA handicap on the day of each round to determine the numbers of shots to be given.
If the score is tied at the end of 18 holes, player will continue until a player wins a hole.
Players will need to organise their match on a date that is suitable for both.
Matches can be played within a singles format competition or outside a competition event.
A qualifying round (advertised in the syllabus) will be used to seed players.
Players will be required to sign up on the qualifying day to participate in the match play rounds.
The winning player in each game is responsible to put the result on the board in the kiosk.
PLAYERS RESPONSIBILITIES
If there is a chance of inclement weather, players should either check the Website or ring the clubrooms to ascertain whether the competition is continuing.It is the duty of every member to bring to the notice of the Match Committee (in writing), any infringements of the rules and etiquette of golf and of these regulations.Each player is responsible for submitting their own score that has been verified by a marker.Players should ensure that they maintain their place in the field. Slow play will be penalised.All golfers must carry and use a sand bucket. They are located near the kiosk and on the first tee.All motorised buggies/carts must stay at least 10 metres away from the greens at all time. Failure to obey this rule may result in the loss of privileges.It is the member's responsibility to ensure that all visitors over the age of 18 sign the visitor's book located in the clubhouse, and ensure that such visitors comply with all other requirements of the club.A member shall not reprimand any employee of the Club or Council but may lodge with the Club Secretary a written complaint against the employee.Members are not to leave litter around the course and surrounds of the clubhouse but to use receptacles provided.Any member who infringes any club rule or by-law or is guilty of any conduct detrimental to the interests of the club may be dealt with by the Committee.Members are to give grounds staff priority on weekdays.Competition play has precedence.The above rules are subject to change at the Match Committee's discretion.
SENIORS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS:Three Rounds of Stableford. The player with the Best Total Score for the 3 rounds will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the Best single score of the three rounds will decide the winner, followed by the second-best score if still tied.A Reserve Day is fixtured should any round be postponed for Inclement weather. The Match Committee may shorten the Championship if inclement weather postpones more than one day.
Conditions of play:Eligibility restricted to financial members of the Lara GC who have completed at least 10 individual competition rounds of the Lara GC in the preceding 12 months and having attained a minimum age of 55 by the first round.
Members do not need to have played Tuesday White Tee Competition golf during the year.
WOMEN’S MAJOR TROPHIES: (full details in Women’s Golf Manager’s manual)
WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS - Tuesdays
Divisions will be decided by the number of entries.
Best three of four rounds of stroke play. Reserve day if required, may be a Saturday.
Open to all home Lara golf club financial members, who have played 10 competitive rounds at Lara in the 12 months prior to the 1st round of the Championships.
Division Champions will be the lowest gross total using best 3 of 4 rounds.
Ties in any division will be resolved by a play-off.
Nett competition determined using best 3 of 4 rounds and Division Champions are excluded.
The Club Champion and other division champion winners are ineligible to win the Nett competition
WOMENS MONTHLY MEDALS - Tuesdays
Six stroke rounds – April, May, June, July, August & September.
Medal winner will be the best Nett.
A tie will result in a play off.

A tie in this competition will result in a play off in another stroke round.

WOMEN'S CAPTAIN’S TROPHY - Tuesdays
Three stableford rounds, with each winner (a player can only qualify once) eligible to play off in the final
MARGARET HEDGER TROPHY - Tuesdays
Three stableford rounds
Drawn secret partners
Each player to receive the aggregate of the secret partners eg 2 players with 34 and 27 will each receive 61 points
Best aggregate score shall be the winner
In the event of a tie, a countback will be conducted based on the highest individual scores
CLUB TROPHY - Tuesdays
Best 4 of 5 stableford rounds .
4 best rounds to count.
A tie will be decided in an 18 hole stableford round played off
GOLDEN EGG TROPHY - Tuesdays
Three player team playing individual stableford with each team to have a yellow ball (Golden Egg).
Individual scores recorded as normal, plus the score for the person using Golden Egg to go on the team Golden Egg score card.
Players to be numbered 1, 2 and 3, and will substitute their ball for the Golden Egg ball every third hole.
SANDRA PLUNKETT TROPHY - Tuesdays
Three partnered 4BBB par rounds of drawn partners (different each round)
Each player in the pair to receive the same score
Best individual aggregate over the 3 rounds
DAPH TUCKER TROPHY - Saturdays
Three rounds, each of stroke, stableford and par with each winner (can only qualify once) eligible to play off in the Stroke final.
